WHAT IS LATINX?

Although the use of latinx seems new, it’s been around since 2011. It is the gender-neutral term for the standard latino/a. It serves as an umbrella term for those who are gender non-conforming who come from Latin descent.

DOES LDI INCLUDE SPEECH EVENTS?

Of Course! At LDI, we want latinx representation in debate AND speech rounds! We want to create a massive community of latinx debaters and speech kids!

DOES LDI INCLUDE HISPANIC STUDENTS?

Yes! The #1 priority of LDI is inclusivity! Hispanic students are covered under LDI’s umbrella.
